OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® product certification is an independent control and certification system that is uniform at an international level. It applies to raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products at any processing level in the textile sector.

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® contributes to ensuring high and effective product safety.

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® product certification provides companies throughout the textile supply chain with an excellent tool and added value for their quality control. An OEKO-TEX® certificate issued by the appropriate institution is valid for 12 months, and documents that the listed items have passed the tests set out in OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and meet the requirements of a common product class.

Certified items comply with the requirements of Annex XVII of REACH (including the use of azo dyes, nickel release, etc.), American legislation on lead content in items for children (CPSIA; excluding glass accessories) and the Chinese GB 18401:2010 standard (labelling requirements are not verified).

The “Confidence in Textiles” mark means guaranteed product safety. Consequently, the OEKO-TEX® label offers all textile and clothing manufacturers a visible product mark that testifies to the human-ecological quality of textile products. For textile and clothing companies, STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification provides greater transparency in supply relations and simplifies the information flow related to possible hazardous substances.

Cotonificio Olcese Ferrari Spa achieved OEKO-TEX® Class I certification for its raw, dyed mercerised and melange ORGANIC COTTON in various mixes.
