The Organic Content Standard is promoted internationally by Textile Exchange, one of the most important international non-profit organisations for responsible and sustainable development in the textile sector. It requires an environmental statement verified by third-parties to attest that the textile products contain natural fibres from organic farming and that traceability is maintained throughout the production process.

The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is a textile certification that guarantees the biological (organic) origin of a textile fibre, and works to guide the textile sector towards more sustainable fashion.

The Organic Content Standard guarantees: Textile products that contain at least 5% certified organic natural fibres.

The textile industry contributes daily to combat the increasingly widespread environmental pollution crisis. The OCS certifies that textile products and manufacturing processes based on natural fibres – both vegetable and animal – are made and certified in accordance with the criteria of organic farming.
