RAS

The Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) is an international, voluntary standard that addresses animal welfare in the alpaca supply chain and chain of custody of alpaca fiber material from certified farms to the final product.

Individual sites are certified by independent third-party certification bodies using annual audits. Material is tracked from the farm to the final product using transaction certificates.

The Responsible Alpaca Standard is owned and managed by Textile Exchange, a global nonprofit that creates leaders in the sustainable fiber and materials industry.
