Origin of bamboo fibre

Bamboo fibre is a member of the viscose family.

The fibre is obtained by extracting cellulose form the plant stem. The cellulose is then added to a viscose substance and spun.

This process produces a textile fibre with unique properties.

Bamboo fibre can produce marvellous bamboo yarns that give clothing a shiny appearance and soft feel.

It is an antibacterial, breathable and temperature-regulating fibre that is perfect for clothing worn in contact with skin, such as underwear.

Bamboo fibre is eco-friendly. In fact, it comes from a weed that requires very little water, and often rainwater is enough.

Moreover, the bamboo plant does not require the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides.

Finally, the textile fibre can be produced through controlled and certified processes.
